I’m Christine - writer, editor, traveller, gardener, therapist, and small-holder - a warm welcome and 'Bon Voyage'.
Journeys
In 2006, after dramatic life changes and with a desire for journeys and new words for life, I travelled for two years through wildernesses in Arabia and Australia, and round Europe, yearning to hear what the whispers in my head were telling me.
And writing down what I heard. They're here to inspire your own journey for self and authenticity through creative personal development.
In 2008 I moved to South Devon, to a tranquil coastal valley where I write, edit, have a small-holding and kitchen garden, and offer five old stone holiday cottages for people seeking a rural retreat away from it all in the heart of nature.
Now, I'm learning about living in tune with nature, growing vegetables, raising free-range meat and offering people a rural retreat. New journeys in self-sufficiency and personal development, new words for new ways of living and being.
Words
All my life I've explored words, their relationship to each other, to meaning, and to us. As a linguist, and travelling and working abroad, I've experienced how culture, identity and self are filtered by the words we choose to express ourselves.
For three passionate, transformational years I studied English Language and Literature at Oxford, my first journey of a lifetime.
As a person-centred therapist and lifelong journaller and writer I've experienced the release of putting feelings into words. I've witnessed the joy you can find in expressing your authentic self in your own words and in your own voice.
As an Editor I recognise the importance of making sure your writing means what you want it to say when you offer it to the world.
These experiences inform the journeys, inspire the words, craft the sentences.
